Details: The Lakewood Housing Authority (LHA) now doing business as Metro West Housing Solutions (MWHS) was formed in 1974 to provide safe, affordable, high quality housing to the Lakewood community. Initially, the LHA strictly provided housing to low-income clients through the Section 8 and public housing programs. MWHS has evolved over time to become a multi-faceted development agency, pushing the envelope in green housing and architectural design through new development and management of its own properties and implementing a wide range of social and educational programs for its clients.
