The Authority is independent from the Town of Stratford and is regulated by the Federal Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and the State of Connecticut through the Department of Economic and Community Development (DECD) and the Connecticut Housing Finance Authority (CHFA). The mission of the Authority is to provide affordable housing to low and moderate income families and senior citizens.
