Details: Community Action agencies were established to eliminate the paradox of poverty in the midst of plenty in this nation by affording everyone the opportunity for education, training, and the chance to work and live in decency and dignity. The Community Council of South Central Texas, Inc. (CCSCT) a community action agency is a non-profit, private corporation that was established on May 11, 1965. The Corporation was originally funded by the Office of Economic Opportunity (OEO) on March 25, 1971 and the name was changed to its present name, Community Council of South Central Texas, Inc. CCSCT was established by grass-roots community groups, experienced board members and a highly visible professional staff. CCSCT allows the poor maximum feasible participation in identifying problems and developing solutions to the problems. As the service delivery agency to the low-income, CCSCT will contiue to identify needs, prioritize them, and stimulate, promote, secure, and use all available resources to alleviate poverty.

I do get food stamps and Tang. I am currently appealing for unemployment which has been denied twice.And waiting on response for ssi benefits.pleaee let me know and also by chance do you help with community hours and could I qualify for housing assitance
