Comment from Community Action, Inc. of Central Texas: Richard Perez met with me when I was on death's door step with little hope and had given up on life. He promised me that he would be there to help me and take me to my doctor's appointments and get me healthy again and would not abandon me and turn his back as so many of the healthcare providers had done in the past. I told him that the going would be tough and he promised me he would drag me in the car and take me to the appointments if need be and he said he was tough. Things started out great he did as he said he got me the medication I needed to survive but then he forgot about me..not once but twice. First time he neglected to remember I had a doctor's appointment and I was left standing in the driveway waiting for someone who never showed up to give me a ride. I called to see where he was at he said he had forgotten but according to what he told his supervisor he said he was "running behind" the second time he forgot about me I was deathly sick waiting on him to pick me up from doctor's appointment that he later called me and told me had been canceled and rescheduled but no one had bothered to tell me about that my only alternative was to go to the emergency room. there was also a miscommunication about eyeglasses I knew that community action paid for the prescription but not for the actual glasses and an employee from community action called and told me that everything was paid for including the glasses not to worry I went through the process of the eye appointment picking out the new glasses and was tremendously happy only to find out that Richard called and said that the glasses would not be paid for. in trying to find out exactly what happened that caused this miscommunication and most importantly avoid it from ever happening again not only was I never sincerely apologize to for the mistake I was ultimately kicked out of community action... the only excuse I was given was "I was not a good fit" I had also spoke with Richard s supervisor Stacy to see if perhaps I could try another of the case managers who could communicate more effectively and was met with complete resistance and she would not listen to a word I had to say and misunderstood everything even to the point of sending the police to do a wellness check for fear I may be suicidal which I absolutely gave her no indication whatsoever I was. I put what little faith and little hope I had left into these people counting on them as my last hope in saving my life I had all but given up when I met them and they wasted my last chance at survival. No one will even sit down and talk to me so I can understand exactly what went wrong and why things ended the way that they did all I know is they are done with me and they have pawn me off to be someone else's problem. I refuse to be someone else's problem I will not be anyone else's problem. I made that very clear to Richard the very first day that I met him he promised me he would not leave me he would not abandoned me and he did Richard Perez lied to me and ultimately ended my life I blame him and Stacy 100% for my demise. This is something I have tried to recover from that is unrecoverable I will not get past this and there is no hope or care or assistance from the people that I made the mistake of trusting of putting my last bit of Hope into that was wasted.I wouldn't expect anything to change all I would have asked for is just an explanation that I could understand as to why and what went wrong but I will never get that they have moved on... good for them since it is impossible for me to move on or even move at all. 30 minutes of their time is not worth saving my life. More importantly no one else seems to think this is a big deal and I should just get over it and move on but the bottom line is no one can understand I simply can not move on after this, it is all I think about 24/7 I was forgotten about lied to and horribly wronged and no one even said they're sorry. this statement is just a very small portion of what the ones that have wronged me can expect that's coming next. I told Richard in the beginning that I would not let this go and unlike him I intend to be a man of my damn word!!!
