Details: The Mid-East Community Action Agency serves as the professional organization for the development and implementation of strategies in addressing the problems of poverty within Roane & Loudon Counties. It is the general purpose of MECAA to identify problems of poverty and to seek the elimination of conditions of poverty as they affect people in the communities of Roane and Loudon County, Tennessee. It shall further be the general purpose and functions of the MECAA to utilize and mobilize the resources of the community to implement programs that are designed to empowered those in need to rise out of poverty and take charge of their own destiny and become self sufficient.
