Details: Nueces County Community Action Agency (NCCAA) is a private, non-profit corporation created with the Economic Opportunity Act of 1964, to lead the battle of President Lyndon Johnson’s “War on Poverty”. Our agency offers a wide variety of programs, such as, Community Services, Weatherization, Utility Assistance, Housing, Information and Referral, Birth-to-Five Head Start and Healthy Marriage. NCCAA’s Birth-to-Five Head Start Program serves over 1,200 children and their families in Nueces County with education, health, disabilities, mental health, nutrition, and family services.
