Details: Rio Vista Community Services is a collection of dedicated volunteers whose purpose is to feed the hungry and assist individuals with emergency basic needs. We are an approved non-profit charitable organization with IRS 501(c)(3) status. Our by-laws preclude any salary being paid to members of the Board of Directors, Officers of the Corporation, or Volunteers. Our efforts are funded by Federal grants and contributions from individuals, groups, churches, businesses, and organizations in the Rio Vista and surrounding areas. The mission of Rio Vista Community Services is to assist and maintain the dignity of low income individuals, famiies, and the homeless in crisis mode, with food and referrals to services within Solano County that provides a larger scope of assistance.
