Details: The Stratford Housing Authority is a quasi-public corporation that was established in 1943. A Board of five Commissioners, appointed by the Town Council, is responsible for oversight and establishing policy. The administrative functions are performed by a staff of 21. The Authority is independent from the Town of Stratford and is regulated by the Federal Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and the State of Connecticut through the Department of Economic and Community Development (DECD) and the Connecticut Housing Finance Authority (CHFA).
