Details: The Georgia Association of Housing and Redevelopment Authorities (GAHRA) is 189 housing authorities strong. Our members provide affordable housing for approximately 250,000 of Georgia’s low-income residents; of which more than one-fourth are elderly and handicapped. The GAHRA membership administers and manages more than 100,000 dwelling units ranging from single bedroom apartment to five-bedroom houses. Some member agencies in smaller communities may manage less than 20 dwelling units while larger agencies may assist their communities with 20,000 affordable housing units.
